It is Black Music Month

Toronto, ON Thursday, June 5th — Norman (Otis) Richmond aka Jalali is available for speaking engagements, television, web, and radio interviews during Black Music Month. He is open for here all over the city, as well as nationally and internationally.

The late Milton Blake and Richmond created the Toronto Chapter of the Black Music Associaltion in 1984. The BMA lobbied the city of Toronto to recognize Black Music Month since the 1990s.
Richmond has recently been published in Ceil Tulloch’s book: Remembering Peter Tosh. He also been published in in Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, England and the USA. He has written for the Toronto Star, the Globe & Mail, The National Post, the Jackson Advocate, Share, Caribbean Camera, the Islander, the Black American, Pan African News Wire, Black Agenda Report. Internationally he has written for the United Nations, the Jamaican Gleaner, the Nation (Barbados), and Pambuzuka News.

He is currently in the process of publishing his own book, as well produces a radio show for Uhuru radio as well as hosts SaturdayMorning Live on Radio Regent. He also writes a column for the Burning Spear Newspaper.
